Coffee table

One has to spoil oneself, once in a while. And I do so by enjoying a good cup of coffee at my freshly-built coffee table.

The table top is made of ash wood and held together with two dovetailed battens. Playful curvy gaps between the boards give it a nice little twist and allow the wood to expand.

The legs of reclaimed iroko wood are as well joint with dovetails. Finished is the whole table with oil-wax.

Kids’ chair made of ash wood

No one shall say cabinetmakers’ kids don’t have chairs.

This example is made of solid ash wood and finished with a pigmented oil and wax solution that protects the wood, yet doesn’t cover its beautiful grain structure. A gab between the seat boards allows the wood to expand towards the center.
